A smile for the day!

Well, I have to get off to bed to prepare for a new work week. I will try to get more pictures on the blog this week, but in the meantime, I wanted to share this one with you. It always makes me smile...my little easter bunny! Thanks, Auntie Nicole, Noah & Hayden for the bunny ears!

Enjoying Spring in SW Florida

One of the perks of life in SW Florida is MLB Spring Training. We were lucky enough to take Caroline to her first baseball game at City of Palms Park. Talisha and Chris shared a few Boston Red Sox tickets with us. Even though we are diehard Cubbies fans, we accepted! :) We had excellent seats-one of the few with any breeze, and shared a good afternoon! The fans even serenaded us with "Sweet Caroline"!

A beautiful spring day

We made it to the 7th inning...pretty good for a toddler!

Thanks Talisha and Chris for a great afternoon!

Racing for the Cure...we love you, Grandma!

Caroline and I took part in the SW Florida Komen Race for the Cure on Saturday, March 14th! We had a wonderful time participating and raising money for breast cancer research in our area. We are hoping for a cure before Caroline's generation has to worry about it. It was a very emotional day for us, but we were proud that we had the opportunity to honor Grandma and the strong woman that she is!

Caroline loved her t-shirt!

My baby's ONE!!!

On March 4th, we were blessed to celebrate Caroline's first birthday! What a joy she has been! We were blessed to have a few family and friends over to celebrate the big O-N-E. Has it really been a year already?! Where does the time go? Anyway, here are a few pictures from the day.

Out to dinner with mom & dad on my actual birthday!

As a side note-if you didn't make it to the party, don't feel too bad. Half of our guests ended up with a stomach flu that we think made it's way to us via airplane. Nevertheless, we are thankful that Auntie MaryBeth, Cousin Nickie and Grandma made the trip. We'll try not to return the favor for Nickie's first birthday!
