Sleeping Beauty

Passed out and possibly drooling

The most comfortable way to sleep (butt up in the air)

The safest place on Earth

Look at that face...who couldn't love it?

So everytime I go in Caroline's room, I see something adorable like this. I know I shouldn't take a picture every time, but most of these are on mornings when I am heading in to work, and this is what I remember all day. Look how cute she is!!! How could I resist? I wish I could sleep that soundly, but since Caroline arrived, my sleeping habits (or lack there of) have changed drastically.

Swimming at Grandpa's

Grandpa's pool is finally warm enough to swim in, so Mommy & Daddy decided to let Caroline "test the waters" for the first time last weekend. All in all, it was a great experience; that is to say, there was only mild screaming at the not so bath-like temperatures. But even more exciting than splashing around in the pool, was the fact that Mommy got to see what Caroline looked like in a bathing suit. Freakin' adorable if I do say so myself!

In good hands

I think I like this!!! Look at those eyelashes!

Thanks, Grandpa & Granny for letting us borrow your pool! We have a feeling this will be a very popular place in not too long.

3 Months Old Already!!!

Talking on the phone with "Elmo" aka Grandpa (3 months)

It seems like just yesterday we were in the delivery room anticipating the arrival of our first child. Caroline has grown so much in the first few months of life! See for yourself:

Missing my munchkin

Unfortunately every good thing must come to an end. For me, that is maternity leave. I was blessed to be able to spend three wonderful, unpredictable and irreplaceable months with Caroline! But, now the time has come to return to work.

My first week back went pretty well. I got back into the swing of things in the office, & I was on time. Luckily, I have a fantastic sitter, and a husband who is Mr. Mom two days a week. That makes things easier, but I hate thinking that I might miss something like this...

Caroline "talking" on the phone

The challenges are many: getting ready in the morning (not remotely the same as it used to be), preparing for the day ahead with some sleep the night before, timing everything just right so I can enjoy a peaceful ride through morning traffic with a happy baby, kissing my little sweetie goodbye, and many more. I know that this is what I have to do for my family. Caroline, I hope you are a good girl today, and may the lucky person who gets to spend the day with you cherish it as much as I would!

It's About Time

Well, it's official! We have joined the land of blogging as of means of keeping in touch with family and friends. It also gives me a chance to tell the story behind the pictures. I will try to post frequently, and hopefully, be somewhat interesting.

Enjoy!
